A history of a quality product.
The LA MOZZA brand was created to fulfill the demands of the pizza masters. Our products have been manufactured by the Asseliti family (Piccoli Piaceri Srl) through the generations since 1952, when grandfather Raffaele, a livestock breeder from Puglia, decided to branch out into homemade dairy products.
Thanks to Franco, Raffaele’s son, the company went further still. His hard work, in fact, turned the company into a leader in the dairy industry.
Today the “Asseliti Group” is managed and administered by Pierfrancesco Asseliti, Franco’s son.
The latter works with “dedication” in making known all the experience and tradition handed down to him by his predecessors.
The entire group now has a company staff of around 50 employees, distributed in their areas of expertise.
The company covers an area of about 5000 square meters, all owned, divided into 3 locations in Puglia and Lombardy, divided between production, storage and conservation, logistics, research and development, staff training, sales and administration.
A scrupulous selection of raw materials, together with technological innovation and research, guarantee LA MOZZA brand’s final consumers the highest quality products, providing pizza makers top diary ingredients for the best results.

The Asseliti Dairy, with the project LA MOZZA is one of the few companies in Italy to freeze dairy products with the IQF (Individually Quick Frozen).
With this IQF system we extend the life of products that deteriorate quickly.This method is adapted to the needs of the customers and ensure the continuity of frozen chain with perfect shelf life up to 6 months from production date.
The frozen LA MOZZA line is the right product that guarantees freshness and goodness wherever you are, trying to bring in your tables the true taste of the Apulia region. LA MOZZA can also get far, with a transportcarried out at -18°C, which can open new business horizons.
